Exam
The written exam will take place on February the 21th in seminar room 01-009/013 (building 101). The exam starts at 10:00 a.m. and will last 90 minutes.

Description
The lecture addresses social robotics as an interdisciplinary research area. Students are made familiar with the major research topics and methods in social robotics to an extent that allows them to understand current research literature in the field of social robotics, to put it into context, and to actively participate in social robotics research.Topics
Major topics include:- Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics (using R)
- Paradigms of experimental design (Wizard-of-Oz etc.)
- Algorithms and software architectures for social robots
- Formal models of human preferences and abilities
- Multi-modal interfaces (language, gestures, facial expression)
- Robo ethics and machine ethics
