RFID sensor integration and measurement fusion for Sick Robot Day 2016

The Sick Robot Day competition poses many interesting challenges for an autonomous robot, especially in the fields of navigation, perception and manipulation. In this project the problem of localizing semantic areas in the competition arena is addressed. The robot needs to detect RFID tags in the environment, compare the sensor results with a given map and determine which kind of semantic location the robot occupies (eg. home field, score field, empty field). The gathered information will allow other components of the robot to decide on appropriate behavior.
